To kick off the football season, PrizePicks has launched a new marketing campaign, “Run Your Game,” starring some familiar faces.

The Atlanta-based daily fantasy sports operator has tapped former rapper and current podcaster Joe Buddon, comedian Drew “Druski” Desbordes, mixed martial artist competitor Suga’ Sean O’Malley, and others for a series of commercials that explore the confluence of sports and pop culture.

PrizePicks is the leading operator of daily fantasy sports in Georgia and across the US. The series of ads comes as DFS players set their first lineups in the 2024-25 football season.

PrizePicks takes unique approach with campaign

PrizePicks offers DFS games that act much like parlay wagering. The first weekend of college football is in the books, with the NFL beginning its regular season next week. The Atlanta Falcons host the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday, Sept. 8.

Also appearing in PrizePicks’ marketing campaign is Trent Attyah, also known as BookItWithTrent. He and the other celebrities interact in a series of commercials that stress the fun friends can have when playing DFS and watching sports events in real time.

In one commercial, Druski, a PrizePicks brand ambassador, and Trent are hanging out in a restaurant when they discover that their DFS picks were winners. Another ad features a pool party hosted by O’Malley and attended by YouTube personality Kyle Forgeard of the Nelk Boys pranking group.

Buddon praised PrizePicks for being unconventional.

“PrizePicks is fun, fresh, simple to use, and most importantly for me, not afraid to take risks. Nothing about PrizePicks feels like the old guard being run by old rules. They’re truly a great organization that isn’t afraid to embrace creativity, and that’s paramount to me.”

Ads do not include ‘pick touting’

In the series of ads, PrizePicks uses celebrities to show how easy it is to play DFS. The company, however, is not “pick touting,” when a celebrity or “gaming expert” explains their picks, either for free or for a price.

PrizePicks is certainly not touting any specific picks in the “Run Your Game” campaign. It’s simply highlighting the DFS habits of people who have a large following on social media. In fact, PrizePicks includes a statement about responsible gaming in the release announcing the marketing campaign.

Anyone who enjoys DFS should always play with a plan and never wager based solely on someone else’s opinion. They should also wager only what they can afford to lose.
